Crouching Tigers–Cultivating Taiwan’s International Business Employees in the Emerging and Developed Markets

 

Introduction of Program

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Institute of International Management (IIMBA) was established to cater to a diverse group of international and local students wishing to pursue graduate studies in the field of business management. It aims to produce well-rounded business professionals with a holistic grasp of the different issues and challenges of management, especially in an international environment.

 

IIMBA’s scope of discipline includes Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship. All disciplines incorporate an international perspective, enabling students to learn more about the diversity that the global stage has to offer.

 

Through TEEP, IIMBA will work with Taiwanese international enterprise to recruit the talented youth from Emerging and also Developed Markets’ countries to come to Taiwan for short-term studies. The program will take about 8 weeks, 5 to 6 days a week. The courses will include Mandarin, seminars with IIMBA faculties and executives from the enterprises. There will be enterprise visiting or culture experiencing tour included also. After 8 weeks courses, the faculties and the enterprise will chose the top third to tenth students and offering them the internship opportunity and the enterprise will offer basic salary.

 

Welcome students in the undergraduate or graduate programs from sister schools of NCKU, and highly interested in coming to Taiwan for 4 weeks summer courses and the following internship with Taiwanese companies to come to join the program.
